Most people leave prison with a bus ticket and a garbage bag. We start earlier. While someone is still inside, we build a real relationship through the tablet in their hands, so the day they come home, they already know who to call.
We stay with people from the inside out.
The program runs in three stages, and the connection carries through all of them.
We start before release.
Our courses reach 97,597 learners in 1,545 facilities — coding, AI, and money skills that hold up on the outside. The courses do something quieter, too: they introduce people to us, so our name is familiar long before someone walks out.

Every course ends at peoplepatch.org/home, where someone can tell us they are out and what they need first. If they are still inside, a family member can send it for them.
We hand people to a person, not a void.
We match each person with the right provider for housing basics, work, or school, and we follow up. Reentry fails in the gaps between services, so we stay in those gaps.

We go where people already are.
You will find our team at resource fairs, inside facilities, and in the neighborhoods people come home to. Some needs cannot wait: an ID, a shower, a meal, a phone. Others take months: steady work, a degree, housing that lasts. We handle the first and stay for the second.
People Patch runs as a network.
When someone needs something we do not provide, we connect them to a partner who does, and we make sure people know those services exist in the first place. Every provider we add widens what a person walking out the gate can actually reach.

The inside-to-home relationship
The rapport that starts on a tablet, funded by Echoing Green, is what turns into a phone call the week someone gets home. That relationship is the whole program.
From corrections to college.
Education is the clearest path out and the hardest one to walk alone. Our education work links the people coming home with the schools, employers, and programs that can take them further.

- ✓Put colleges, employers, and people with lived experience in the same room, so a class leads to a job.
- ✓Back the organizations doing restorative-justice work, and the people inside it.
- ✓Meet with partners on a set schedule to see what is working and change what is not.
